Hi Everybody!  I want to tell you about the ten things that I love about Bethlehem.  If you’re thinking about moving here, it’s a great place to live!

#10-  It’s close to Philadelphia which is about an hour and a half away.  New York City is almost two hours away.  And the Poconos where we can go skiing and have fun in the mountains is just about forty-five minutes north of here. But still there are lots of rural spaces all around town.

#9 – It’s a great place to live with a good cost of living and plentiful jobs

#8 – You can’t miss the restaurant scene and the beer scene here in Bethlehem.

#7 – there is lots of music and the arts scene is really cool

#6 – Because of the universities and colleges there is a great academic vibe throughout town

#5 – There is always fun places to go and exercise outside

#4 – Main Street!  Spending the day on Main Street in Bethlehem is always a great pastime.  It’s fun to visit all of the shops, enjoy really wonderful food in fabulous restaurants and just watch the world go by

#3 – Bethlehem is filled with gorgeous architecture

#2 – The Historic District as well as the City’s history cannot be beat

#1 –  We love our festivals in the summertime!

More information Welcome to Bethlehem! Are you looking for Bethlehem, PA?  Welcome, you’ve found it! Our fine city is located in the northeast quadrant of the beautiful state of Pennsylvania.  Bethlehem is at the crossroads of two major cities; we are approximately 1.5 hours north of Philadelphia, PA and approximately 1.75 hours west of New York City, NY.   Bethlehem is also nestled approximately 10 miles west of Easton, PA and approximately 10 miles east of Allentown, PA.   Each city is pretty much in a straight line next to one another following the Lehigh River valley. Bethlehem a great place to call home because it is so close to large cities yet far enough away to have its own personality.  There are things to see and do here.  The three cities of Bethlehem, Easton and Allentown are urban enough to find good dining, entertainment and shopping.  However if you drive just a few minutes out of any of the towns you will find suburbia and lots of beautiful lush green rural countryside. Colleges and Universities Within the city limits are two fine schools of higher learning.  Lehigh University is located on the south side of Bethlehem while Moravian College is located downtown and throughout the city.   Northampton Community College is to the north of Bethlehem in Bethlehem Township. And beyond the borders of the city are other fine universities & community colleges like Lafayette College, DeSales University, Lehigh Carbon Community College, Penn State University, Cedar Crest College, Muhlenburg College and Kutztown University just to name few. Shopping and Entertainment Entertainment is not far from your doorstep.  The Downtown centers of each city, Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton offer wonderful restaurants and entertainment.   A few of the highlights are all of the new restaurants in Allentown on Hamilton Boulevard along with the PPL Center, home of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms ice hockey team.  Downtown Bethlehem has always been known for the fine food establishments to be found on Main Street. And not far from Main Street is The SteelStacks and ArtsQuest Center where Musikfest can be enjoyed along with many other free music venues.  And Third & Ferry Streets in Easton are the home addresses for their fine restaurants.
